Tips on How to improve your workplace?

Week One

Listen to someone

Pray for your
workmate and your boss
Take a cake or fruit to share in the staff room. Love people

Spring Harvest Week 3

Love your boss
Give free hugs
Give people chocolate
Speak to everyone at least once a day
Be thoughtful
Be happy
Encourage through telling
Smile a lot
Laugh
Bring in cakes
Be helpful in everyway you can
Boost people up don’t bring them down.
Pray for people with mental health
Sing in the corridors
Leave people happy, use post-it notes randomly J
Don’t feel guilty if you chat…
Pray for colleagues
Ask people, ‘How are you?’
Give credit for any success to the people who work for you (and bonuses!!)
Give credit and praise where it’s due. Also accept and declare your mistakes to your workmates.
Create a photo board. Promotes a sense of belonging (unity)
Greet everyone cheerfully and show an interest in their lives and families.
A box of chocs / bisc in the staff room can be worth more to staff than a pay rise.
Take staff on a day drip – IKEA works well for us! While there, pay for coffee and cakes
Talk to people don’t reply on notes and e-mails!
Smile – they’re catchy and spread for no real reason!!
Always say thanks
Encourage colleagues rather than criticise.
Take everyone out for coffee
Listen to people
Empathise with their feelings but remain positive.
Give a hug to someone to needs / wants one.
Be yourself and trust God in the difficult situations.
Take time with people
Haribos for everyone!
Pay rise… encouraging… make the team feel valued…
Trust those you work with

Sort out the core values, the essential processes, the statutory responsibilities and make them match the skills, responsibilities of people and the resources – communicate and organise fairly and honestly – make the expectations possible. DON’T make life / job impossible and then buy someone a cake!
