eNewsletter 13th March 2019

We've lots to tell you about this month, so without further ado...
AGM1TWUK AGM  We’re still buzzing after our highly successful AGM on 26th February. It was great to see so many there. We worshipped God together and thanked Him for all He has done through TWUK among Christian Workplace Groups in the workplaces of the nation. You can read a report on the event here.

ThriveThrive Conference 2019  Ros is on her way to Scotland (via Liverpool and Manchester) as I write and will be attending the Thrive conference in Aberdeen at the end of this week. Thrive is a 2-day event designed to encourage Christians to thrive in their workplaces. Taking place on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th March, it includes worship, keynote speakers and seminars, one of which Ros will be leading on the Saturday. This is a key event at which we pray God will birth many Christian Workplace Groups in Scotland. If you are able to pray for Ros please do so – she will appreciate it! See here for more details and how to book.
CIG-A4flat - cropped2Christians in Government invite all to respond to their National Call to Prayer on 28th March, the day before the UK is scheduled to leave the EU. It is the culmination of a full week of prayer for the nation. You can watch a video about the event here. There are meetings to join in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast or you could host an event in your own village, town or city.  Find an event near you on the events page.
TGIMThank God it’s Monday is a classic text by Mark Greene of the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity (LICC). It’s about living out the Christian faith in the workplace. For the 25th anniversary of the publication of the original book, the text has been revised, and the new edition will be launched at a special party at LICC in London on Monday 1st April. TWUK are investing in this re-launch of what is an excellent book together with LICC and it is our aim to provide a copy to every CWG known to us in the nation.
Screenshot 2019-02-15 at 14132Transforming Work TWUK and LICC have also been working together to re-package LICC’s Transforming Work programme into 30-minute sessions suitable for use by CWGs in their meetings. The course allows you to get together with other working Christians to explore the Biblical view of work and how to practically apply it in your own life. It provides exercises to help you think through your own situation in a variety of contexts and offers the opportunity to discuss with your Christian friends and colleagues how you can make a difference at work. We highly recommend the sessions.
Femi 3x2Pastoral and Prayer Support  TWUK Core Team member Pastor Femi Idowu would like to remind everyone that he is available to offer private pastoral and prayer support to any CWG leader or member in the workplace who would like it. Do get in touch with Femi if there is anything for which you would like confidential support or about which you would like him to pray with you.
