'Christians, your workplace needs your faith more than it thinks it does'! - Cardiff

What happens if people live out their faith at work, acting in a truly Christian manner?  The answer - people and organisations thrive together - helping everyone!
Why does this happen?  It happens because, as Christians, we love our neighbours - we care about people, about everyone. By nurturing relationships we bring organisations closer together. We aim to serve, not to look for our own advantage.  We seek to be honest and trustworthy, so it is easier for people to work with us.  We look for justice and the common good.
How can Christians help each other to bring this joy to the workplace?  Perhaps by being more confident about our faith – its benefits to others are considerable.  By telling our own stories (while some seem to think that our faith turns us into intolerant judges, few people reject a personal story); by supporting each other; by talking together about work and its opportunities and difficulties; by building on the successes and ideas of others.
However, it can be more difficult to do these things than to agree that we should do them. Everyone needs to have the space to develop their own thoughts on faith at work, and to work out what they want to say and how they want to act.  There are already a number of places where this can happen: in the Church, at work or at home.  Sadly though, many people do not have the space and help they need to think these things through.
Transform Work UK is excited about helping the people of Wales get access to this space and help. If you are a church leader, a workplace chaplain, or a committed Christian who wants to help their workplace, then please join us at this meeting.
Let us transform the world of work!  From our perspective it certainly needs it!
