Wandsworth Council CWG - Proceeds of collection from Easter Civic Service help local charity
The photo shows the presentation of a cheque for £130, raised from the collection at the 2015 Wandsworth Council Easter Civic Service, to the charity Back-Up Trust, one of the charities supported by the Mayor of Wandsworth.
The Civic Service was organised by the Wandsworth Council Christian Fellowship which meets Wednesday lunchtime usually between 1 pm and 2 pm. All are welcome.
(At the rear) Claire Barrett (Community Fundraiser from the BackUp Trust) and a colleague along with Nina Petrie, Wendy Murray, Bola Oyabayo and John Ruske (from Wandsworth Borough Council) and (front) clients receive the cheque for £130.
This is a fine example of a CWG working to enable an open celebration of the Easter events in the council, while at the same time supporting the council's charitable objectives. True 'light' in the workplace!
