I received lots of questions about outreach, how to do it, how to advertise it, got any good resources etc… Is the role of a CWG to put on out reach events, what is your experience?

Out reach is NOT our primary objective but should always be on our agenda – not to manipulate circumstances or compromise our role as employees of the council though. But to establish the Kingdom in the workplace and through that opportunities will come more naturally. For example, doing your job well and encouraging others, actively praying for your employer and the work you’re involved in.

DHCNG don’t put on outreach events. We don’t do mission, we are the mission. At the moment we’ve launched a ‘God at Work’ course series. It’s open for ALL staff to come and hear about how we bring God into our work. We run the sessions through the network group meetings. As Christians working in national government we tap into CiGUK’s events like a carol service and other speaker events.

We don’t need to feel guilty that we haven’t converted the whole office – that’s the Lord’s task. We are at work to be a blessing to the company and staff and being a shining light by

- On a formal basis => Alpha
- BTCN group corporate strategy => free bible give away
- Web site page, who is Jesus, what is Christianity
Out side of the workplace you don’t ram Christianity down people’s throats, don’t do it in work. |
