Sept 09 Mapping Process

Dear All, Transform Work UK will be sending out letters to all CEOs of Local Govt Councils in Sept with the aim of finding out whether local councils recognise different staff association, groups and networks amongst its workforce. It is of particular interest to Transform Work UK to know if your Council formally or informally recognises the existence of any Christian staff group.

We are asking councils for the name of a representative of any such Christian groups within their council. This will enable us to see if we are able to help and support this group in any way, for example, to assist with information, events and any issues relevant to their circumstances.

Please do pray with us as we seek to map Christian activity in council buildings across the West Midlands.

Hi brothers & sisters in Christ,
I am a Christian in a Government building. I'm HM Revenue & Customs' Christians in Government national Prayer co-ordinator. I do not have a fellowship in my building, however I am hoping to find out about how to start one at November's Conference in Birmingham. What are these letters you're sending out this week?

Hi Jeff, great to be in touch and I can't wait for the National Conference where I'll be able to put a face to a name. Do come and say hi - I'll be welcoming people on the door.

I believe there are a few Christians in HMRC, John Flanner comes to mind - do you know him? Wonderful that you are the prayer co-ordinator for Christians in Government UK who are holding a meeting for their group within our national conference. Exciting!

As for the letters. Yes we'll be seding them out tommorrow to local govt not national govt I'm afriad. It's a way to discover Christian activity across the nation in local govt council buildings and encourage Christians to serve their councils and be a blessing to them especially through prayer. If you know of any - please do encourage them to get in touch.
