The Secretaries and Administrators Christian Fellowship, known as the ‘Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) Christian Fellowship’ has been running for over 54 years.
Back in 1950’s when the fellowship was formed, it was normal practice for professional bodies to have a Christian fellowship, reflecting the environment in the country and the heritage that we belong to. As we walk around the City of London we are reminded of our Christian heritage through the ancient buildings which point to our great history which was inseparable from the faith England once held as a nation. We were one people, one heart, one faith and held one compassion for each other and for our neighbours and for everyone who came to this country.
Today the fellowship want to carry on what the founders of this Christian fellowship started back then; to speak the word of truth about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the same freedom that those founders experienced 54 years ago. Although there is great challenges in today’s secular and materialistic society, it is good to remember the words of the late President Kennedy who said ‘that we choose to do things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organise and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.’ Likewise we are facing these days a much harder environment and tougher laws than we have ever had in our country’s history with regards to expressing our faith and being able to evangelise the word of the gospel; but we have to have faith and along with that faith, the realisation that Jesus Christ has the victory, and He is our strength and our refuge and our deliverer.
Christians should not be intimidated by the world around us in which Christians are patronised, the bible tells us where there is the spirit, there is freedom because we are free in Jesus, and if Jesus has condemned sin, so we should. Jesus loved sinners and came to save sinners but condemned sin itself.
There is a story of a preacher boy who was in a class in a liberal college, and the professor said, "Christians ought never to have any enemies. We ought never to be controversial." Then he said, "What we need to do is to follow the example of Jesus."
The boy lifted his hand and asked, "If Jesus Christ was so beautifully tactful and diplomatic, how did He manage to get Himself crucified?"
Peace is not appeasement. It is a right relationship with God that leads to a right relationship with self and guides us into right relationships with others. Literally, peace is a fruit of righteousness. It is the righteousness of God ruling and reigning in your heart. (Author:

Me A Christian
For many people, the question 'what is a Christian?' is a confusing one. Most have learned something about Christ and the Bible from school or from church, and yet, for whatever reason, have not been able to see the sense, or the point in it all. (Author: )
