Putting Jesus back into Easter
The week of January 20th in 2013 saw the launch of the 2013 Real Easter Egg Campaign. The aim was to establish the UK's first and only religious, Fairtrade, charity Easter egg as an annual tradition.
To make the 2013 Real Easter Egg campaign a success, they persuaded individuals, churches, schools and workplaces to place direct mail bulk orders with them in January and February. Resource packs were sent to previous customers.
Orders flooded in and they sold more than 10,000 eggs in the first two weeks. As a result the Easter egg market was changed forever by making it more spiritual, more generous and more faithful.
The Real Easter Egg had a free activity pack in the box which included the Easter story, activity poster, free iTunes download and a sticker set. The resurrection text from Mark was inside the lid.
