"Then the king placed Daniel in a high position and lavished many gifts on him. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and placed him in charge of all its wise men."
Daniel 2:48

I trust the start of this new year has gone well and you are excited about the plans that God has in store for you.

ChurchandworkJust before Christmas I was working in Antwerp and while at lunch I took the photo shown here. There it was – a church, standing proud but totally connected to the world of work. After lunch I took a look around and there were a number of businesses that were joined to the main church building.

At ground level it was difficult to see where the church and work started or ended – they were totally mixed. As I looked it seemed to me a perfect picture of how God wants His people to be in the world of work. Totally connected – a natural part of the workplace.

I pray that today God would reveal how he wants you to connect with your work colleagues as well as with the organisation’s managers and directors.

Daniel is a great example of someone who was well connected with his workplace. By working hard and living out his faith, he was able stand out as someone who could be trusted with authority and who would use his influence wisely for the good of those he worked for.

Have a great week,

The Transform Work Team
