Prayer

It goes without saying that prayer is key. How has the prayer life of your CWG affected your group?

Adrian Holloway Borough Hall Christian Fellowship
Prayer is the most important part of what we do. Praying for the needs of the fellowship / pastoral side BUT also praying into the authority. The prayer for the council was a catalyst for the growth of the group. We prayed for virtually nothing else but the work of the council and its leaders for 3 years and during that time our group doubled in size.

Annette Davis Department of Health Christian Network
Group Prayer is key for fellowship and support. It focuses us on God and helps us hear what He would have us do. Each building has it’s own prayer style; we have a prayer session every other week, another building meets for prayer early morning. We also tap into Christians in Government UK’s (CiGUK) prayer initiatives

Peter Davies BT Christian Network
Prayer is an essential part of BTCN. Without prayer we can do nothing. We need to pray to receive wisdom and correct judgement when leading our groups and networks. Pray over issues that arise and also pray things in. Persistent prayer – I felt the Lord saying to put intercessors in place; I and ignored it. It came again when having a prayer time and again I though I have no idea how to do this so didn’t do anything. Again the Lord said to me put prayer in place so I then found a lady in BTCN who’s passion was prayer and she ran with this idea for intercessors and now we have 60.
