One night stop over on a Business Trip...

Last Sunday church was focusing on the workplace and how God sees our colleagues as treasure.  We were inspired to give our working lives fully to God to use for His glory.

We were also encouraged to tell our stories no matter how small they are, and to tell them soon before they loose their edge. So here is my little encouraging story for the last week.

I was away for work last week (Wed + Thurs). A colleague and I met up with a contractor for those two days and spend the time marching up and down the Wensum River.

Anyway, pre the site visit I had a real strong sense that there would be an opportunity on the trip to witness to this colleague of mine, and I was really asking God to use me.

To cut a long story shorter, we ended up having a great chat about life and God, and he opened up telling me he had been raised a Catholic, walked away from God, been through a real rough patch and was now starting to take small steps towards pursuing God again. We had excellent discussions and the following day I gave him a CD with a number of PJ Smythe's sermons on which he was quite excited about listening to.

So let's see where this goes... I'm praying for breakthrough here. Bring it on.
